主講人簡介：

韓占文，男，中國科學(xué)院院士，中國科學(xué)院云南天文臺研究員，主要從事恒星結(jié)構(gòu)和演化研究。1984年畢業(yè)于河北大學(xué)物理系，1987在中國科學(xué)院云南天文臺獲碩士學(xué)位，1995年在英國劍橋大學(xué)獲博士學(xué)位。曾任中國科學(xué)院云南天文臺臺長、中國科學(xué)院《天體結(jié)構(gòu)與演化重點實驗室》首屆主任、國際天文聯(lián)合會（IAU）財務(wù)委員會主席，曾獲何梁何利基金科學(xué)與技術(shù)進步獎（天文學(xué)獎）、國家自然科學(xué)獎二等獎等?，F(xiàn)為國家基金委創(chuàng)新群體項目“恒星物理”首席科學(xué)家、國際天文聯(lián)合會（IAU）恒星演化委員會組委、歐洲《天文和天體物理》期刊（A&A）恒星編委。

Brief Introduction of Professor Zhanwen Han

Prof. Dr. Zhanwen Han, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, holds a BSc degree from Hebei University, a MSc degree from the Yunnan Observatories, and a Ph.D. degree from Cambridge University. He had served as the director of the Yunnan Observatories, the director of the Key Laboratory for the Structure and Evolution of Celestial Objects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the chair of the International Astronomical Union Finance Committee. Prof. Han is a chair professor at the Yunnan Observatories and an associate editor of Astronomy and Astrophysics (A&A).

Prof. Han has been studying stellar evolution and binary evolution since the 1980's. He is a developer of binary population synthesis approach and is widely acknowledged as a world-leading expert in the study of the formation of binary-related objects, e.g., hot subdwarf stars, which are core-helium-burning stars with very thin hydrogen envelopes. He has been awarded a Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, and a 2nd Prize of the State Natural Science Award.
