題目:先進(jìn)材料跨尺度力學(xué)行為的表征與思考
主講人簡(jiǎn)介:
魏悅廣,中國(guó)科學(xué)院院士,國(guó)際著名力學(xué)家,北京大學(xué)力學(xué)與工程科學(xué)系教授。魏悅廣于1992年獲清華大學(xué)工程力學(xué)系固體力學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位后進(jìn)入中國(guó)科學(xué)院力學(xué)研究所工作,1995年至1998年在美國(guó)哈佛大學(xué)作訪問(wèn)學(xué)者、博士后,1998年起為中國(guó)科學(xué)院力學(xué)研究所研究員,2016年11月至今為北京大學(xué)力學(xué)與工程科學(xué)系教授。魏悅廣院士獲得了眾多學(xué)術(shù)榮譽(yù),主要包括1994年獲第四屆中國(guó)青年科技獎(jiǎng);1998年入選中科院“百人計(jì)劃”;1999年獲國(guó)家杰出青年基金資助;2012年任國(guó)家973項(xiàng)目首席科學(xué)家;1995年獲國(guó)家自然科學(xué)三等獎(jiǎng);2008年及2013年兩次獲國(guó)家自然科學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng),現(xiàn)擔(dān)任《力學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)》主編、《Engineering Fracture Mechanics》等10余個(gè)國(guó)內(nèi)外期刊的副主編和編委。
魏悅廣院士的主要研究工作涉及固體力學(xué)的多個(gè)方向,包括固體材料的跨尺度力學(xué)研究、材料微尺度力學(xué)理論、實(shí)驗(yàn)和尺度效應(yīng)研究以及彈塑性斷裂力學(xué)等。20年多年以來(lái),魏悅廣院士一直致力于發(fā)展跨尺度力學(xué)的理論與方法,并將其應(yīng)用于表征和確定先進(jìn)材料的強(qiáng)度、韌性以及失效機(jī)制。近些年來(lái),魏悅廣院士系統(tǒng)性的利用跨尺度力學(xué)理論描述了包括薄膜脫膠、熱障涂層失效機(jī)制、納米結(jié)構(gòu)材料的性能表征以及微米尺度摩擦等先進(jìn)材料中的復(fù)雜固體力學(xué)現(xiàn)象,取得了重要的學(xué)術(shù)成果。
Brief Introduction of Professor Yueguang Wei
Prof. Yueguang Wei is a world-renowned mechanics researcher, and has been a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2017. He received a doctorate from Department of Engineering Mechanics of Tsinghua University in 1992 and started his research career in the institute of mechanics, CAS. After postdoctoral training from 1995 to 1998 at Harvard University, he got a professor position in institute of mechanics, CAS. He is currently a professor in Department of Mechanics and Engineering Science, Peking University.
Prof. Wei received Youth Science and technology award of China in 1994. In 1998, he was elected as a member in “Bai-Ren” Project of the CAS. He won the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation in 1999 and became a chief scientist of National 973 Project in 2012. He won the second prize of the national natural science award twice in 2008 and 2013, and also won the third prize of the national natural science award once in 1995.
Prof. Wei conducts research in multiple area in solid mechanics including trans-scale mechanics of solid materials, theoretical, experimental and size effect studies of materials at micro/nano scale, elastic/plastic fracture of solids, etc. For more than two decades, Prof. Wei developed the theory and methods of the trans-scale mechanics, and he applied the theory and methods to the characterizations of strength, toughness and failure of the advanced materials. Recently, Prof. Wei systematically used the above theory and method to describe the thin film delamination, the failures of thermal barrier coating system, the property characterizations of nanostructured materials, as well as micro-scale friction and other issues.
