主講人簡介：

Juergen Jost 院士于1956年出生于德國明斯特，1980年于波恩大學(xué)獲得數(shù)學(xué)博士學(xué)位, 1984至1996年任德國波鴻魯爾大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)教授, 1996年參與創(chuàng)辦德國馬普數(shù)學(xué)研究所(萊比錫) 并任所長至今。Jost院士也是萊比錫大學(xué)名譽(yù)教授、美國圣塔菲復(fù)雜性科學(xué)研究所外部成員。他還是德國國家科學(xué)院、緬因茨科學(xué)與藝術(shù)學(xué)院、薩克森科學(xué)院院士和美國數(shù)學(xué)會會士。Jost院士還是國際頂尖期刊歐洲數(shù)學(xué)會會刊（JEMS）的創(chuàng)辦人和首任主編。
Jost 院士是世界著名的數(shù)學(xué)家，迄今為止，已發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文450多篇，完成著作20多部，被引用次數(shù)15000多次，指導(dǎo)的博士生已超過50人。在數(shù)學(xué)的多個領(lǐng)域內(nèi)，如流形的幾何與分析、極小子流形、調(diào)和映照理論及其幾何應(yīng)用、度量空間幾何、凱萊幾何、圖論等方面，Jost 院士所作的重要貢獻(xiàn)已經(jīng)成為相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的經(jīng)典工作。早在1986年，他獲邀在國際數(shù)學(xué)家大會作45分鐘報告，1993年他榮獲德國科學(xué)的最高獎——萊布尼茨獎。

Jost 院士不僅是幾何分析領(lǐng)域的國際權(quán)威專家，而且從學(xué)科交叉的觀點(diǎn)，也在其它多個領(lǐng)域做出重要貢獻(xiàn)，如理論物理、非線性動力系統(tǒng)、數(shù)學(xué)和理論生物學(xué)、神經(jīng)科學(xué)、認(rèn)知理論、網(wǎng)絡(luò)分析、經(jīng)濟(jì)和社會系統(tǒng)、科學(xué)史與哲學(xué)以及復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)的一般理論等。2010年他獲得主持歐洲研究理事會的高級項(xiàng)目，這是歐洲范圍內(nèi)最有聲望的科學(xué)研究基金。

Brief Introduction of Professor Juergen Jost

Professor Juergen Jost was born in Muenster, Germany, in 1956. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics at Bonn University in 1980. From 1984-1996, he was Professor of Mathematics at the Ruhr University in Bochum. In 1996, he became a founding director of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, Leipzig, Germany. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Leipzig and an External Member of the Santa Fe Institute for the Sciences of Complexity in the USA. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences Leopoldina (the National Academy of Germany), the Academy of Sciences and Literature, Mainz, and the Saxonian Academy of Sciences, Leipzig,  a fellow of the American Mathematical Society, and he was the founding and chief editor of the Journal of the European Mathematical Society, one of the top mathematical journals in the world.

Professor Jost is a world-renowned mathematician, who has published more than 450 scientific articles, and more than 20 monographs and textbooks, and his works have been cited more than 15000 times. He has supervised more than 50 PhD students. Professor Jost has made many important contributions to several areas of mathematics, like the geometry and analysis on manifolds, minimal submanifolds, harmonic maps and their applications in geometry, geometry of metric spaces, Kaehler geometry, graph theory etc. which have become classical works in those fields. As early as 1986, he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Berkeley. In 1993, he received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize, the most distinguished research award in Germany.
Professor Jost is not only a leading expert in the field of geometric analysis, but also has made important contributions to many other fields, such as Theoretical Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, Mathematical and Theoretical Biology, Neuroscience, the Theory of Cognition, Network Analysis, Economic and Social Systems, History of Science and Philosophy, and a general theory of Complex Systems from an interdisciplinary perspective. In 2010, he obtained an Advanced Grant of the European Research Council, the most prestigious research grant in Europe.

主講人簡介：

樂曉春 (X. Chris Le) 是加拿大皇家科學(xué)院院士、加拿大阿爾伯塔大學(xué) (University of Alberta) 杰出教授 (Distinguished University Professor)、加拿大生物分析技術(shù)和環(huán)境健康領(lǐng)域首席科學(xué)家 (Canada Research Chair)、分析與環(huán)境毒理研究室主任。

樂曉春于1983 年畢業(yè)于武漢大學(xué)化學(xué)系，1986 年在中國科學(xué)院生態(tài)環(huán)境研究中心獲得碩士學(xué)位，1993 年在加拿大英屬哥倫比亞大學(xué) (University of British Columbia) 獲得博士學(xué)位。1995年進(jìn)入加拿大阿爾伯塔大學(xué) (University of Alberta) 任教，在醫(yī)學(xué)院病理和實(shí)驗(yàn)醫(yī)學(xué)系、理學(xué)院化學(xué)系、公共健康學(xué)院環(huán)境健康專業(yè)任職。主要從事生命分析化學(xué)、環(huán)境科學(xué)、環(huán)境毒理與人體健康、基因損傷與修復(fù)、納米材料與新藥物等研究。發(fā)表論文三百余篇。
樂曉春教授獲得二十多項(xiàng)榮譽(yù), 均是獎勵他為科研、教學(xué)、和社會作出的突出貢獻(xiàn)。早在2000年，樂曉春教授獲得加拿大自然科學(xué)與工程研究院的E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship，該獎以表彰加拿大四位最杰出的青年科學(xué)家和工程師，當(dāng)年由加拿大國家總督親自為樂曉春教授等頒獎。同年，加拿大總理委任樂曉春教授為第一批加拿大首席科學(xué)家。他還獲得加拿大化學(xué)會頒發(fā)的W.A.E. McBryde Medal獎?wù)?、分析化學(xué)成就獎Maxxam Award、環(huán)境化學(xué)成就獎 (Environment Research and Development Award)，獎勵他在分析化學(xué)和環(huán)境科學(xué)方面作出的杰出貢獻(xiàn)。樂曉春教授還被阿爾伯塔大學(xué)授予優(yōu)秀導(dǎo)師獎，表彰他在培養(yǎng)人才方面的突出貢獻(xiàn)。2018年獲得大學(xué)最高榮譽(yù)獎杯。樂曉春教授于2010年當(dāng)選為加拿大皇家科學(xué)院院士 (Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada，Academy of Science)。

樂曉春教授現(xiàn)任中國僑聯(lián)第十屆委員會海外委員、國務(wù)院僑辦專家咨詢委員會海外委員、中科院、基金委、科技部等機(jī)構(gòu)的海外評審專家或顧問。應(yīng)邀參加2009年的國慶60周年閱兵觀禮和2015年9月的大閱兵。

樂曉春教授擔(dān)任Journal of Environmental Sciences 期刊主編、Analytical Chemistry期刊副主編、Environmental Health Perspectives期刊副主編。他還擔(dān)任Analytical Methods, Metallomics, Scientific Reports, Talanta，科學(xué)通報、中國科學(xué)-化學(xué)、中國化學(xué)會-化學(xué)、高等學(xué)?；瘜W(xué)學(xué)報、分析科學(xué)學(xué)報、色譜、環(huán)境化學(xué)等十多期刊的編委。
