主講人簡介:
Gregory C. Fu,美國加州理工學院化學研究所教授、美國科學院院士。1985年在麻省理工學院獲本科學位,1991年在哈佛大學獲博士學位。1991年在加州理工學院進行博士后研究,1993年留麻省理工學院工作,2012年至加州理工學院擔任教授。
他主要從事過度金屬如鎳,銅等催化劑促進的催化反應,如使用鎳催化廣泛的烷烴偶聯(lián)和機理研究,以及使用銅催化劑搭配光催化以達到雜原子親核基與烷烴的偶聯(lián)反應。此外,他也利用這些方法開展了一系列外消旋親核試劑的對映收斂反應。他的獲獎記錄如1998年獲阿瑟?C?科普學者賞,2000年獲Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry獎,2001年Springer Award in Organometallic Chemistry,2005年Corey Award,2006年Mukaiyama Award,2007年三井觸媒化學賞。以及2012年美國化學會Award for Creative Work in Synthetic Organic Chemistry,并于2014年獲美國國家科學院院士。
Brief Introduction of Professor Gregory C. Fu
Gregory C. Fu is a professor in Caltech. He received his Bachelor degree from MIT in 1985, and obtained the Ph.D. degree from Harvard University. Then did his postdoctoral research at Caltech from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, he became a staff of MIT, afterward, he shifted to Caltech in 2012. His present research field is nickel and copper catalyzed coupling reactions. For nickel catalysis, he is pursuing the discovery of metal-based catalysts for coupling a wide range of alkyl electrophiles. Additionally, in copper catalysis, he is devoting the use of light and a transition-metal catalyst to achieve a wide range of couplings of heteroatom nucleophiles with alkyl electrophiles. Enantioconvergent reactions of racemic nucleophiles are being investigated. He has received several important awards such as Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award of ACS in 1998, Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry in 2000, Springer Award in Organometallic Chemistry in 2001, Corey Award in 2005, Mukaiyama Award in 2006, and Catalysis Science Award of Mitsui Chemicals. Moreover, in 2012 he obtained the Award for Creative Work in Synthetic Organic Chemistry of ACS and become a fellow of National Academy of Sciences of USA in 2014.

主講人簡介:
Howard Alper 教授是加拿大皇家科學院院士,渥太華大學的著名化學教授,曾任三屆加拿大聯(lián)邦政府科學、技術與創(chuàng)新委員會主席,兩屆加拿大皇家學會會長,渥太華大學副校長等職。他長期從事制藥和石化領域的基礎研究,發(fā)現(xiàn)了多種均相催化、異相催化以及相轉移催化的新型反應,并成功將手性配體運用到金屬催化的環(huán)加成、羰基化反應中,他合成了多種具有很好藥物活性的產品,如Ibuprofen 等。先后發(fā)表了550余篇論文,擁有47 項發(fā)明專利,編輯出版了多本專著。
Howard Alper 教授學術造詣高超,曾榮獲加拿大所有的化學獎,包括2004年的蒙特利爾勛章。2000年,加拿大總督授予他科學與工程界的第一塊哈德?赫茲伯格金牌(Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal);2001年,Alper 教授獲得了渥太華研究與創(chuàng)新中心授予的President’s Award, 并于同年獲得了渥太華生命科學理事會授予的國家優(yōu)秀獎。此外,加拿大化工研究所、韓國科學技術研究院和日本化學會分別授予Howard Alper 教授榮譽院士獎、杰出講座教授獎和名譽外籍院士獎(也是該獎項首次授予非日本籍教授)。
Howard Alper 教授致力于推動國際學術交流,崇尚多元文化融合。他是歐洲藝術與文理學院和發(fā)展中國家科學院院院士,2002年榮獲法國國家勛章(National Order of Merit)、2012年榮獲英國女王伊麗莎白鉆石獎章(the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal)、2014年榮獲意大利共和國勛章(Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic)。他2001年當選為總部設在比利時布魯塞爾的國際知識經濟網(wǎng)絡顧問委員會主席。
Brief Introduction of Professor Howard Alper
Howard Alper is currently spearheading the initiative by the Governor General of Canada (Head of State) to enhance global recognition for Canadian research excellence. He is Chair of the Canvassing Committee for the initiative. He is also Distinguished University Professor at the University of Ottawa. The basic research Alper has been pursuing spans organic and inorganic chemistry, with potential applications in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and commodity chemical industries.
He received a Bachelor of Science from Sir George Williams University in 1963 and a Ph.D. from McGill University in 1967.in 1968, he started teaching at the State University of New York and became an Associate Professor in 1971. He joined the University of Ottawa in 1975 as an Associate Professor and was appointed a Professor in 1978, later being made a Distinguished University Professor in 2006.He was the Vice-President (Research) of the University of Ottawa from 1997–2006. From 2001 to 2003, he was the President of the Royal Society of Canada.
In 2000, the Governor General of Canada presented him with the first Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal in Science and Engineering. The following year, he was given the National Merit Award for contributions to the Life Sciences. In 2002, he received the Le Sueur Memorial Award of the Society of Chemical Industry (U.K.). In 2004, he was made an Honorary Fellow of the Chemical Research Society of India, in 2006, an Honorary Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada, and in March 2013, was made an Honorary Foreign Member of the Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ), the first Canadian ever to be so honoured by the CSJ. He was also elected as a Honorary Member of the Colombian Academy of Sciences in 2011, and of the Mexican Academy of Sciences in 2009.

何滿潮,1956年5月生,河南靈寶人。礦山工程巖體力學專家,中國科學院院士。中國礦業(yè)大學(北京)教授,兼任國際巖石力學學會副主席、中國巖石力學與工程學會理事長、中國礦業(yè)科學協(xié)同創(chuàng)新聯(lián)盟理事長、中國礦業(yè)知識產權聯(lián)盟理事長。全國杰出科技人才獎(2016年)和全國創(chuàng)新爭先獎狀(2017年)獲得者。
主要從事礦山巖體大變形災害控制理論和技術研究。提出了“緩變型”和“突變型”大變形災害的理論體系,研發(fā)了多套大變形災害機理實驗系統(tǒng),創(chuàng)建了深部巖體力學實驗室。獲國家技術發(fā)明二等獎1項,國家科技進步二等獎3項。
Brief Introduction of Professor Manchao He
Manchao He is currently an Academician in Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor at China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing (CUMTB). He is also the Director of State Key Laboratory for Geomechanics and Deep Underground Engineering in Beijing, China. He is recognized as the leader of the Chinese Union for Mining Innovation (CUMI) and the President of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME). And he served as the Vice President of International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM), Chairman of ISRM Education Fund Committee.
He received his Bachelor and Master Degree in engineering geology from Changchun College of Geology in 1981 and 1985 respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from CUMTB in 1989. He got an Honorary Doctorate from University of Mons in Belgium in 2012. He mainly engaged in the research of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, including landslide, active fault stability analysis, monitoring and control, rockburst mechanism, mining technologies, etc. He has published 5 books and over 160 papers in technical journals and in conference proceedings. He also serves on the Editorial Board of several Journals, and received 4 National Prizes and awards in his career.
