主講人簡介:
David Milstein教授,美國國家科學(xué)院院士,德國科學(xué)院院士,以色列人文和自然科學(xué)院院士。1976年在以色列耶路撒冷希伯來大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位。1977至1978年在美國科羅拉多州立大學(xué)和衣阿華大學(xué) J. K. Stille教授小組進(jìn)行博士后研究。1979至1986年先后擔(dān)任美國杜邦公司R&D中心的Senior Research Chemist和Group Leader。1987年任以色列魏茨曼科學(xué)研究所有機(jī)化學(xué)系副教授,1993年起任教授。1996至2005年擔(dān)任該研究所有機(jī)化學(xué)系系主任,2000年至今擔(dān)任該研究所Kimmel分子設(shè)計中心主任。曾獲the Israel Prize in Chemistry and Physics、the EuCheMS Lecture Award, the RSC Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Award、the Meitner-Humboldt Senior Research Award、the ACS National Award in Organometallic Chemistry、the Israel Chemical Society Prize和the I.M. Kolthoff Prize in Chemistry by the Technion等多項榮譽。迄今為止已在Science、Nature、Nature Chemistry、J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等國際頂級期刊上發(fā)表研究論文320余篇。 David Milstein教授近期主要研究興趣集中在催化設(shè)計、綠色化學(xué)、金屬有機(jī)化學(xué)和可持續(xù)能源等方面。 此外,最近該課題組開展了一種溶液相反應(yīng)方案,由單核的釕絡(luò)合物引發(fā)的連續(xù)的熱和光驅(qū)動步驟中化學(xué)計量地釋放氫和氧,建立一種實質(zhì)上新的光驅(qū)水分解策略,且在該過程中不需要額外犧牲化學(xué)品。
Brief Introduction of Professor David Milstein
Milstein, who was a fellow of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. Milstein received B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He carried out postdoctoral research in the U.S. at the University of Iowa and at Colorado State University. In 1979, Milstein joined DuPont Central Research & Development in Wilmington, Delaware, where he became a group leader in the homogeneous catalysis area. In 1987, he took up an academic position at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, where he is now the Israel Matz Professorial Chair of Organic Chemistry. Milstein has authored Over 320 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has received several honors such as the Israel Prize in Chemistry and Physics、the EuCheMS Lecture Award, the RSC Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Award、the Meitner-Humboldt Senior Research Award、the ACS National Award in Organometallic Chemistry、the Israel Chemical Society Prize and the I.M. Kolthoff Prize in Chemistry by the Technion. He and his coworkers have developed many group 8, 9, and 10 transition-metal complexes with specifically designed ligands that have proven useful to activate strong C-C, C-H, C-F, N-H, and O-H bonds. In addition, Milstein and his co-workers have recently described a solution-phase reaction scheme that leads to the stoichiometric liberation of hydrogen and oxygen in consecutive thermal- and light-driven steps mediated by mononuclear, well-defined ruthenium complexes, in essence establishing a new light-driven water splitting strategy that does not require a sacrificial chemical in the process.

KukjinChun教授先后獲得韓國漢城國立大學(xué)電氣工程學(xué)士學(xué)位和美國密歇根大學(xué)安娜堡分校微電子和MEMS碩士和博士學(xué)位。曾任華盛頓州立大學(xué)電氣工程系助理教授和韓國DaeduckGDS公司外部董事?,F(xiàn)在受聘于首爾國立大學(xué)電氣與計算機(jī)工程教授職位,是IEEE第十大區(qū)主席,是韓國工程院成員以及英國物理學(xué)會院士。KukjinChun教授獲得過2017年韓國科技獎、2013年韓國工程師協(xié)會HeadongAwards獎、2009年韓國漢城國立大學(xué)優(yōu)秀教學(xué)獎以及2008年韓國傳感器協(xié)會最佳論文獎等多個獎項。

Prof.Kukjin Chun received B.S.degree in Electrical engineering fromtheSeoul National University in Korea,andPhD degree from the University of Michigan, majored inMicroelectronics andMEMS.He servesas the director of IEEE Region 10. Hewas anassistant professorat theElectrical Engineering department of Washington State Universityand is now a Professor at Electrical and Computer Engineering department of Seoul National University (SNU). He is a fellow of the Institute of Physicsin UK. He is also serving as a member of The National Academy ofEngineering in Korea. Hewasan outside directorofDaeduk GDS company of Korea from 2004 to 2015.Prof.Kukjin Chunwasawarded with the 2007 Korean Science and Technology Award, 2013 Headong Awards of Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea, 2009 Outstanding Teaching Award at Seoul Nation University, 2008 Best Paper Award of Korea Sensor Society,andmanyotherawards.
